CPP's director Charlotte Alldritt joins the OECD's Inclusive Growth Financing Forum (IGFF).

In a context of increasing inequality worldwide, the 2019 Biarritz G7 Presidency welcomed the principle of an Inclusive Growth Financing Forum, which was successfully launched in the presence of French President Macron and OECD Secretary General Gurria at the Paris Peace Forum in November 2019. Its purpose is to survey existing private, philanthropic and public financing mechanisms for inclusive growth (IG), including through an annual symposium grouping key players and stakeholders; and to assess how to build greater synergies, deploy new financing tools and generate additional funding streams for IG.

The IGFF is aiming to create global legitimacy for itself as the leader in innovative financing techniques to target exclusion and poverty. The Forum will incentivize different actors, mainly from the public sector, the private sector and multilateral agencies, to work together on the issue of inclusive growth. It will do this by bringing together different funding sources to match them against potential inclusive growth projects, and through the knowledge dissemination of lessons learned from said projects and the potential for scalability and replicability it will encourage.
