Labour Party Conference: Levelling Up - Policies for Social and Economic Inclusion

What exactly should levelling up involve? #CPPLevelup

22 September 2020
2:30–3:30pm
Labour Expo Zone and on demand

We all agree on the need for a lasting plan to support disadvantaged communities and places. But what exactly should levelling up involve? What should be the concrete policies for jobs, for skills, for regeneration? We will debate what should be covered in the forthcoming Spending Review and the Local Recovery White Paper. Beyond that, what should a lasting plan for recovery look like?

Panellists

  • Rushanara Ali MP, Member Treasury Select Committee
  • Richard Partington, The Guardian
  • Charlotte Alldritt, Director, Centre for Progressive Policy

Chair

  • Zoe Billingham (Head of Policy and Engagement, Centre for Progressive Policy)
