Role of business for inclusive recovery

Strengthening bonds between business and place

21 October 2020
11:00am–12:15pm
Invitation only

Covid-19 has underlined the importance of community and highlighted our reliance on one another, exposing supply chain vulnerabilities and interdependence of communities and the businesses that operate there. Many businesses have regularly gone the extra mile to offer support in recent months and we should capitalise on these higher levels of engagement between the public, private and voluntary sectors as we look towards recovery, considering what businesses accountability to place should be in the new economy.

CPP’s upcoming autumn report - ‘The business of belonging’ – considers why place matters if firms are to survive and thrive post-Covid drawing on polling data commissioned by CPP to come up with a set of recommendations for both business and government leaders.

The event brings together key businesses, policy makers and academics to jointly address some of the key insights from CPP’s latest report The business of belonging. This report looks at strengthening the bonds between business and place, drawing on new polling data, commissioned by CPP, to come up with a set of recommendations for both business and government leaders.
